Bachelor of Planning (B. Plan) is a four-year undergraduate professional degree program offered by our School of Architecture Planning & Design, This comprehensive programme teaches students about spatial planning in light of the trend of urbanisation witnessed across the nation. This programme is an academic endeavor to contribute to nation-building by creating qualified planning professionals. These individuals are trained and equipped with a skill set to tackle issues at local, regional, and environmental levels.
The curriculum of the B Plan course over eight semesters, includes interdisciplinary fields such as architecture, geography, economics, ecology, transportation, sociology, management, law, and legislation. Hence, this multi-faceted discipline of urban and regional planning is intriguing and full of opportunities.

1992’s 74th Indian Constitution amendment for Municipalities or Urban local bodies (ULBs) has established the need for qualified professionals in the country. After completing the four-year degree program, these planners can work with governments, public and private or corporate organisations, NGOs or research institutes.
These full-fledged planners take on various projects ranging from Smart city projects, land use planning, area-based development of a significant scale, and policy and legislation research work in different critical positions across the country. Select few individuals also pursue Masters both within and outside the country from reputed institutes and can further dwell in research and contribute academically
