B.Design in Product Design is a four-year undergraduation program, that enables students to understand the varied techniques, methodologies, and strategies to operate human needs by producing definite, concrete and tangible products. In this designing course students emphasizes learning by doing and pursuing a complete process of Designing, Creating, Marketing, and Trading Products and Systems and Services.
Department of Designing at Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University , offers a product design course where students are trained in design methodology and creative thinking to grow into adequate and visionary problem-solvers for end-users, communities, neighborhoods, and enterprises. This training consists of lectures that deal with ideas, concepts, theory, learning materials, methods, prototyping skills, user investigations, etc. Individual assignments are the basis for outcome-based learning. Under the course, apart from theoretical knowledge, students generate ideas, visions, and concepts with 3D mock-up models, sketches, and ultimately, working prototypes experimented in user context. The curriculum of B.Des in Product Design involves learning through Assignments, Classroom Projects, Industry Immersion, Industry Visits, Apprenticeship, and Internship Programs.
