Bachelor of Fine Arts is a graduate programme designed for students to understand the basics of Visual Arts through the expansion of the conventional educational approach towards Visual Arts by motivating the students to perform experiments with a range of artistic practices and generating the essential skill set needed to produce Visual Arts that are realistic, conceptual as well as abstract.

The BFA course under School of Journalism & Liberal Arts at DBUU is one of the best BFA colleges in Dehradun, is a fine blend of of theoretical and practical studies providing exposure to the students in various Historical, Cultural, Political, and Social of the world. Throughout BFA course, the students are motivated to acquire activities from a variety of different disciplines like Dance, Mass Media, and Music in a manner that adds worth to their degree. Programme Educational Objectives (PEO's)


PEO-1 To develop and equip expertise in elements of designs, art, and utilization of tools and procedures from several different media like painting, sculpture, and photography. To demonstrate the ability to create original and masterly crafted objects of art
PEO-2 To create work that displays originality and expertise in ideas and concepts of fine arts and possesses the ability to explain, analyze as well as decipher created art. In addition to this, the understanding and familiarity with elements of design in artworks
PEO-3 To exhibit in-depth knowledge and comprehension of art theory by the implementation of practical methods and display skills pertaining to creative thinking and problem-solving
PEO-4 To study present art and explore galleries and museums and reflect on them as well as identify the major conflicts within the field of contemporary art practice
PEO-5 To develop and instill the skills and knowledge of concepts and methods essential to fine arts and have an extensive comprehension of the history of art in theory.

PSO-2 Recognise and implement the elements, concepts, and principles of visual art while conveying information and ideas visually
