DBUU logo should always be positioned to ensure maximum visiblity and to function optimally in any given application. It is most easily recognized when it stand out from other element around it, which recruires plenty of breathing space. For typically print applications such as ads or stationary, the minimum clear space required on all sides of the logo is equal to the width of the "inner circle of logo emblem"
Logo consistency is key to building a strong brand identity. For DBUU, using the logo in the same size, colors, and placement across all creatives reinforces recognition, trust, and professionalism. A consistent DBUU logo presence ties every design back to the university's core identity , making it instantly recognizable and reliable.
To maintain visual consistency across all social media creatives, the standard size of the DBUU logo should be set to 425 pixels (width) x 116 pixels (height). A clear space of 70-100 pixels must be maintained around the logo on all sides to ensure legibility and prevent visual clutter. This space should remain free of any text or graphics. Consistent sizing and spacing reinforce brand identity and ensure the logo appears balanced and prominent across various layouts.
The DBUU logo must not be modified in terms of text size, emblem size, emblem color, or text color. The emblem and the text 'Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University' should always be aligned horizontally, maintaining equal vertical positioning. To ensure visual brand consistency, the size of the logo should remain uniform across all social media artworks. While minor adjustments may be made based on the content, extreme variations in logo size should be avoided. Please refer to the attached samples: Sample 1 and 2 depict correct logo sizing, whereas Sample 3 shows a drastically enlarged logo. Sample 4 features both incorrect sizing and formatting of the DBUU logo.
Placement & Size: Use the standard logo size (425x116 px), positioned at the top-left with a minimum 100-pixel margin on all sides to avoid UI overlap in both vertical and horizontal formats.
Visibility Aid: If neither the coloured nor white logo is clearly visible, use a subtle background patch for better legibility.
Brand Videos: Logo must remain visible throughout the video.
Informal Videos: ❮ 45 sec: Logo in intro & outro only; ❯ 45 sec: Logo remains visible throughout.
Interviews: Logo must be present throughout the video.
Animated Logo: In dynamic videos, the logo may fade in/out for creative impact without compromising consistency.
When using two logos in Vertical or Horizontal Reels (e.g., DBUU and event logos), ensure that the full versions of both logos appear at the intro and outro for proper brand recall. Throughout the video, only the DBUU logo should be retained to maintain consistency, unless the secondary logo holds primary relevance [e.g., external collaborations, or flagship events (depends on the dimension of the logo)]. This approach reinforces DBUU's brand identity while allowing space for campaign-level visibility where appropriate.

To maintain the logo's legibility, we always use the original logo with brighther colour image or background. When we must use darker colour image or background in some case, we use white logo instead original logo. Do not show DBUU logo in any other colours.
Improper usage of the DBUU logo can significantly dilute the university's visual identity and brand recognition. To maintain a cohesive and professional appearance, the logo must always be presented in its original form: without distortions, color changes, shadows, or unapproved alterations.

#323232Maintaining consistency in brand colours and typefaces is vital to establishing a strong and recognisable visual identity. At Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University (DBUU), the regular use of official brand colours and designated fonts such as Proxima Nova and Bebas Neue ensures cohesion, clarity, and professionalism across all communications. These elements serve as visual anchors, reinforcing trust and instantly connecting each creative back to the university's core identity.
However, thoughtful exceptions may be made in specific contexts where creative flexibility enhances engagement or thematic relevance. For instance, incorporating the Indian tricolour on Republic Day or Independence Day (as seen in Sample 1), using vibrant festive shades like red or yellow for cultural events (Sample 2), or integrating stylised treatments in design-oriented or youth-focused campaigns (Sample 4) can add contextual freshness while maintaining brand alignment. Sample 3, while using brand-approved colours and fonts, showcases how clean, minimal layouts can remain brand-compliant even when tailored for academic communications.
In contrast, Sample 5 to 8 demonstrate inconsistent applications, where unrelated fonts, non-brand colours, or abrupt visual styles diminish brand cohesion. These inconsistencies create visual clutter, weaken recall, and disconnect the viewer from DBUU's identity.
Every video or reel shared on DBUU's official platforms must have a dedicated thumbnail—no video will be uploaded without one. Thumbnails must adhere to the core creative guidelines, including the use of brand colours, approved brand fonts (or suitable alternatives when relevant), and a consistently placed DBUU logo at the top.
The logo should always be sized at 425x166 pixels, with a clear margin of 120-140 pixels from surrounding elements to maintain visual balance and brand integrity. While brand colours and typography are mandatory for admission and academic videos, thoughtful flexibility is allowed in other categories: candid videos may use off-brand fonts with brand colours, and event-specific thumbnails can explore contextual variations to enhance relevance and engagement. These exceptions reflect the same design flexibility permitted in broader creatives, as long as DBUU's core identity remains instantly recognisable.
