| About Event | ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation Orchard Farm, Selaqui, Dehradun provide the oppunity to the students to learn about recent updated technology in soil and water conservation, watershed development and its management. This institute provide training to the student about soil and water conservation and agricultural production. In this institute the modules are designed to gain knowledge and skills on analysis of various soil-water properties/components, runoff and soil loss measurement, understanding rainwater harvesting, recycling and water use efficiency, components of Integrated Nutrient Management (INM), agro-forestry systems, influence of forest resources versus conser vation practises , agronomic measures, vermi-composting, Hi-Tech propagation of fruit plants and bamboo species, orchard management of different fruit plants, distillation of different aromatic grasses and value addition, use of modern farm implements in soil conservation, attributes of fisheries in watershed development, meteorological observation, and associated instruments used and measurements/data collection |
