The B.Sc Optometry is a four-year undergraduate program focused on training a student for the ocular management domain. This program creating a multipurpose ophthalmic workforce at the paramedical level. The training will help a student become proficient in offering service as a Refractionist, Optician, Optometrist, and Ophthalmic Assistant to the citizens in semi-urban, urban, and rural locations in Semi-Government, Government, and Private Sectors.
The B.Sc optometry course possesses the analysis of life Sciences vision and Optometric Sciences Anatomy and Physiology of infection and optics and Optical Science. B.Sc optometry program equip students with the in-depth knowledge and understanding of Orthotics and vision training, diagnosis of visual problems, vision screening (eye testing), optometric counseling of patients with colour blindness, partial sight, and hereditary vision deficiencies, and designing and working of spectacles, contact lens, and low vision aids. So that the students, after graduating, can evolve into adept professionals through hands-on training and frequent field visits, upskilling them in optometric training and elements of Clinical Optometry, Contact Lenses, Pediatric Optometry, and binocular vision eye disorders and therapies.
