The Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) programme is streamlined to familiarize students with the basic knowledge of pharmacy and critical clinical skills and attributes. Our School of Pharmacy and Research recognized as one of the best D.Pharma colleges in Dehradun, offers a D.Pharm Course with a comprehensive curriculum covering pharmaceutical sciences, drug formulation, pharmacology, and clinical practices. The programme offers an in-depth understanding of science and the different techniques needed in pharmacy practice and medicine management. Along with teaching core subjects like Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, and Pharmaceutics, the D.Pharm Course aims to provide a fundamental overview of all the essential concepts, principles, and practices involved in pharmacy so that students can emerge as leaders in this field.
Our School of Pharmacy and Research is devoted to nurturing professionals in the domain of pharmacy who can prepare, analyze, and manage various pharmaceutical dosage forms and have in-depth knowledge in the field. Diploma in Pharmacy programme aims to give students insight into the Chemical and Physical characteristics, the Chemical structure and uses of Pharmaceutical formulas, the use of dosages and their side effects in different diseases, etc. It also includes subjects about natural medicines obtained from plants, animals, marine, and natural sources. DBUU, along with providing basic academic knowledge, also offers soft skills, practical skills, and value-added training, along with the course curriculum.
The Anatomy & Physiology lab was created to introduce the structure and function of the human body. It deals with the study of cells, tissues and membranes that make up our bodies and how our major systems function to help us develop and stay healthy.
The plants grown are useful in the practical classes of Pharmacognosy and Herbal Drug Technology. This well-developed medicinal plant garden provides a strong impetus for herbal drug research and to impart training to the graduate students.
This lab has modern instruments like UV-Visible spectrophotometer, flame photometer and pH meter. It also includes potentiometer, Karl Fischer apparatus and colorimeter. The lab is used for instrumental analysis of medicinal compounds and biological samples.
The machine room is equipped with instruments used in pharmaceutical manufacturing. It includes machinery for manufacturing tablets, capsules, injectables, liquid orals and ointment sections.
This laboratory uses modern equipment for identification and qualification of compounds. It is suitable for analysis, quality assessment and quality control studies of drugs and finished pharmaceutical products.
This lab conducts isolation, purification and evaluation of phytoconstituents from plants. It is also used for organoleptic evaluation of crude and natural drugs obtained from medicinal plants.
This lab provides knowledge of pharmacology, drug dosage and mechanisms of drug action. It also supports screening of drugs and includes computer software for demonstration of pharmacology experiments.
This lab focuses on public health and community engagement related to pharmacy. It provides practical exposure to healthcare delivery systems and preventive healthcare strategies.
The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics with English with a minimum 45% marks or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA) (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) can apply for admission.
