“Concrete Mix Design: Hands on Practices and Testing”

About Event This event is a three days’ training program on the basics of cement, concrete, and its properties. The initial two days is lectures session on the different aspect of concrete, its Quality and Assurance. Day 1 will starts with the lecture on the concrete properties, types and durability criteria. Day 2 deals with the lectures on codal provision and mix design procedure. The final days is all about the hands-on practices and testing, which is conducted at the Civil laboratory, The Institution of Engineers (IEI), Dehradun (approved by NABL). In the first phase of testing the basic test on cement and Aggregate will be demonstrated. In the second phase of testing the demonstration of concrete mix design along with the other non-destructive test has been scheduled.
AIM of the Events
  • To enhance the quality of students by introducing them about the basic of civil engineering materials.
  • To anticipate participants to know beyond the textbook’s knowledge
  • To engage participants to get the field exposure.
  • To enhance the students’ knowledge about the non-destructive testing equipment.
  • To help students to understand the concrete mix design.

  • Lecture on Concrete Properties, Defects in Cold Concrete and Extreme Weather Concrete, &Durability of Concrete
