About Event A Three-days Folk painting (Gond art) workshop offers students a unique opportunity to explore their artistic expression freely. It encourages them to step away from the structured academic environment and engage in a creative process that allows for self-discovery and personal expression. Through the medium of wall paintings, students can convey their thoughts, emotions, and perspectives, enabling them to communicate in a visual language. Wall paintings requires careful planning, experimentation, and adaptability, which are essential skills for creative problem- solving. Students learn to make decisions about color, composition, and technique, finding innovative ways to overcome challenges that arise during the painting process. These skills are transferable to various aspects of their academic and personal lives. The meticulous nature of Gond painting demands precise brushwork and control over fine motor skills. For students, this translates into improved hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and dexterity. These skills can have a positive impact on their academic performance, particularly in subjects that require precision, such as mathematics and science.

As students see their ideas take shape on the canvas and witness their progress throughout the workshop, they experience a boost in self-confidence and self-esteem. Recognizing their ability to create something beautiful fosters a sense of achievement and empowerment that can extend beyond the workshop into their academic pursuits and personal lives.

AIM of the Events Skill Development: The primary aim of a wall Paintings workshop is to help participants develop and refine their Gond painting skills. The aim is to inspire individuals to think outside the box, try new approaches, and express themselves artistically. Participants are encouraged to embrace the fluidity and unpredictability of Gond paintings to produce unique and expressive artwork.Building Confidence: Many individuals may be hesitant about their artistic abilities. A wall Paintings workshop aims to boost participants’ confidence by providing a supportive and non-judgmental environment. As they see their skills improve andcreate beautiful paintings, participants gain confidence not only in their artistic abilities but also in their problem-solving and decision-making skills.Stress Relief and Mindfulness: Creating art, particularly with Folk painting, can be a calming and meditative experience. Gond painting workshops aim to provide a respite from daily stresses and promote mindfulness. Participants immerse themselves in the creative process, focusing on the present moment and achieving a sense of relaxation and mental clarity.

Fostering a Love for Art: Ultimately, a Gond painting workshop aims to foster a lifelong love for art. Whether participants are beginners or experienced artists, the workshop encourages them to appreciate the beauty of visual expression and the role of art in culture and self-discovery. It may inspire participants to continue exploring the world of art beyond the workshop, attending exhibitions, creating their own artwork, and appreciating the value of artistic expression in society.
