About Event Sanvidhan Divas or Constitution Day is celebrated every year on 26th November, 2022 to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution on 26 th November, 1949 and to honour the contribution of the founding fathers of the Indian Constitution that includes great leaders such as Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. The Constitution has since guided one of the largest democracy in India in its path to maintain the basic principles of the democracy and also to provide its citizens a suitable environment for their growth and development.
On this Occasion Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University has decided to celebrate this day so that the students of the University are able to understand the importance of Democracy , the constitution, and particularly the Preamble and the Fundamental Duties that are assigned to us as the citizens of this Country. It is also essential for each citizen of the country to understand it is the far sightedness of the makers of the Constitution of India that today we can claim to be one of the largest democracy of the world.
