A Bachelor of Architecture, or B.Arch, degree can be used to enter the field of architecture. It is a five-year programme that lasts full-time and has ten semesters. Architecture design, building management, building science and service, theory of structures, the history of architecture, and architectural drawings are just a few of the topics covered in the B.Arch course. Candidates must complete their 10+2 in the Science stream with mathematics, physics, and chemistry as required subjects in order to be admitted to a B.Arch programme. Candidates who enrol in 10+3 diploma programmes may also apply for this position.
Candidates take a different entrance exam after earning their 10+2 or 10+3 Diploma in Architecture. They can pass the national architecture aptitude test or take the joint entrance examination (JEE) (NATA). You can select the college of your choice based on the entrance exam qualifying marks that you received. After passing the graduate engineering aptitude test, you can pursue a Master of Architecture (M.Arch) programme if you want to obtain a senior-level position (GATE). You can begin the two-year M.Arch programme as soon as your B.Arch is finished or after gaining some relevant experience.
You are allowed to complete a paid or unpaid internship while earning your bachelor's degree. An internship gives you practical experience and helps you understand your responsibilities as an architect. Internships frequently lead to full-time jobs. To broaden your skill set and position yourself as a marketable applicant for an architect's position, submit applications for various internships.
