Dev Bhoomi Krishi Kumbh 2026 | National Agriculture Fest, being organized by the School of Agriculture, Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University from 23rd to 24th February 2026, is envisioned as a comprehensive agricultural festival and outreach programme aimed at promoting innovation, sustainability, and farmer–student–industry interaction. The two-day event will bring together agriculture students, academicians, researchers, agri-entrepreneurs, startups, and farmers from different Gram Panchayats of Dehradun, creating a common platform for knowledge sharing and experiential learning. The Krishi Kumbh will feature a wide range of activities including food stalls highlighting local and traditional agricultural produce, exhibition stalls showcasing modern agricultural technologies, tools, value-added products, and innovative practices, as well as a poster presentation competition that will encourage students to present research findings and creative ideas related to agriculture and rural development. A key highlight of the event will be the Ideathon (startup models), designed to foster entrepreneurial thinking among students by encouraging them to develop practical, farmer-centric solutions for real-world agricultural challenges. By actively involving farmers, the event aims to enhance awareness about improved farming practices, sustainable technologies, and income-generating opportunities, while also allowing students to understand grassroots issues directly from the farming community. Overall, Dev Bhoomi Krishi Kumbh 2026 | National Agriculture Fest seeks to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and field realities, strengthen community engagement, and contribute to inclusive and sustainable agricultural development in the region.
