Bhartiya Gyan Parampara (Indian Knowledge System - IKS)

The primary aim of the Workshop on Bhartiya Gyan Parampara is to create awareness, appreciation, and understanding of India’s rich and ancient knowledge traditions among students, educators, researchers, and professionals. Bhartiya Gyan Parampara, which encompasses thousands of years of intellectual, spiritual, scientific, and cultural development, offers profound insights into holistic education, sustainable living, moral values, and innovative thinking. Through this workshop, participants will explore the uniqueness of Indian knowledge systems and their relevance to modern education, research, and technological advancement.

The event seeks to bridge the gap between traditional knowledge and contemporary learning practices. It aims to highlight contributions of Indian scholars in fields such as mathematics, astronomy, medicine (Ayurveda), architecture (Vastu and ancient engineering), philosophy, governance, literature, and arts. By doing so, the workshop encourages participants to recognize India’s role in shaping global knowledge.

Another major objective is to inspire learners to incorporate Indian wisdom—such as Yogic practices, critical thinking methods from ancient texts, environmental ethics, and value-based education—into their personal, academic, and professional lives. The workshop also aims to promote research, innovation, and curriculum development rooted in indigenous knowledge systems while fostering a sense of cultural pride and identity.

Overall, the event strives to create a meaningful platform that connects traditional wisdom with modern aspirations, enabling participants to rediscover the depth of Indian knowledge heritage and apply it toward building a more balanced, thoughtful, and progressive society.
